About ByPic
The language is a second generation derived from the original BV_Basic language, it was originally called BASIC but because the syntax only partly follows basic it was felt that the name was a bit misleading. The full history and details of how the language came about is in the menu under 'What It Is'.
The copyright is owned by Jim Spence who developed the language to use on a microcontroller over some years. The sponsor is ByVac and if required licensing agreements can be negotiated.
Update: As from 2018 the language is no longer being developed. The hex file is however freely available for the PIC32MX170
